These mountain paintings are inspired by the Austrian Alps, where I grew up. Working with a limited palette of Prussian blue, white, and black, I concentrate on capturing the essential shapes, contrasts, and atmosphere of the landscape. The restrained use of color enhances the cold, quiet presence of the mountains — their snow-covered peaks, deep shadows, and clear, open skies. It’s a simple and direct expression of the beauty and stillness of a place that holds deep personal meaning for me.
