During my MA, I created a series of exclusively reclaimed pieces by integrating cut-offs and broken elements from my primary project, along with donated porcelain from peers. I employed a plain white porcelain base as a canvas for mark-making and carved textures into the artwork. Small color accents, mainly in greens and blues, were incorporated to highlight the whiteness. This method permitted me to repurpose materials while experimenting with textures and colors. The translucent quality of these pieces fosters a captivating interplay with varying material thicknesses when exposed to light.
